In July, we congratulated Hayley and her partner on the birth of their baby and gave baby Kai lots of gifts on behalf of the Allendale Group which included an Allendale Group branded baby grow. Fast forward half a year and Kai can be seen wearing the Allendale Group baby grow in all his cuteness.

It’s great to see Kai pop into the office with mum, Hayley, every now and again and we wish them all the best.

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone celebrating the Year of the Rat, including our Chinese customers and staff at our Hangzhou, China office. To celebrate the Chinese New Year (also known as the Spring Festival), will be decorating our UK office with authentic Chinese decorations as well as some very tasty Chinese goodies in the staff kitchen.

Did you know…. showering is forbidden on New Year’s Day and sweeping & throwing out the rubbish bin isn’t allowed before the 5th. This is to make sure you don’t wash away the good luck, however, there is a day before the Spring Festival dedicated to cleaning. This day is to sweep the bad luck away and make room for the good.

On the other hand, there’s a day before the Spring Festival dedicated to cleaning.

What’s your Chinese zodiac sign? Have a fantastic new year, or as they say in China, 新年快乐 (Xīnnián kuàilè).
