It’s a great pleasure to welcome our new Machine DRO Engineering Products Manager and Technical Product Specialist, Phil Cadman.

Phil comes with a wealth of Metrology knowledge and experience as he joins us after 15 years at Bowers Group, operating in many areas, latterly as Midlands Area Sales Manager and National Accounts Manager, supplying Metrology solutions across many industry sectors. Other roles include being a Moore & Wright Product Manager and before that role, Phil was the UK Sales Manager for Bowers Group. Metrology has been a part of Phil’s working career from an early age – he joined Cromwell Tools for a total of 11 years where he joined straight from school. Firstly, he worked in Metrology carrying out repairs to a wide range of measuring products in their UKAS facility, before moving into a sales environment, hence his experience in distribution, gaining experience across many product categories.

However, Phil’s career hasn’t always been based on Metrology and Engineering Tools. Prior to joining Bowers Group, Phil worked at a Plant Hire company for 4 years as a Depot Manager.

Centrally based in Leicestershire, Phil has many hobbies and one, in particular, is linked to Measuring Tools. He enjoys restoring classic vehicles at his home garage and sees it as an on-going project to keep him busy. Phil is also a very keen fisherman and a very good one at that! We’re sure he can cast his knowledge out to potential new customers and ‘catch’ their attention on how Machine DRO products can benefit their business. The future is looking bright, good luck from the Allendale team.

To raise awareness for Breast Cancer Day, the Allendale team have come dressed in an item of clothing which is pink, as well as having some delicious pink cakes made for us by a member of our Warehouse team. We have also included our very pink Vanity Case in the shot as well to add a bit more colour. This case can be found here.

Well done to everyone who got involved and has donated. For more information about Breast Cancer Awareness Day or to donate, please click here.

We’re very excited and proud new sponsors of the University of Wolverhampton’s F3 Cup Team and Formula Student Car with our ROC Cases.

We are the exclusive Flight Case sponsors of the UWR team and we have our ROC Cases logo featured on the wings of the F3 race car which looks great, giving our ROC Cases brand the coverage it deserves on qualifying and race days. It’s fantastic for us to be supporting such an incredible and skilful group of Engineers who can apply both theory and practice in the industry. Good luck to the team on the track as they strive for glory, from the driver, Shane Kelly, through to all of the team in the pits and beyond.

About University of Wolverhampton Race (UWR) Team

This race team run professionally by our engineering students is part of the University’s commitment to producing graduates who can apply both theory and practice in the industry. After the success of the UWR teams' debut year in professional motorsport; the University saw an opportunity to challenge themselves further and took delivery of a Dallara F308 in early 2016 with the intention to run in the F3 Cup. This challenge saw engineering students skills put to the test with the increase in technology and power. The University of Wolverhampton Race (UWR) Team celebrated huge success and finished second place in 2016 in its debut year racing in the F3 Cup.
